This policy covers The Ear Gym on Android and iOS ("the app"). Contact: theeargymapp@gmail.com.
Your exercise results, statistics, streaks, badges, guided-mode progress and settings are stored only on your device.
Microphone. Singing exercises use the microphone to detect the pitch you sing. Audio is analysed live on your device. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple to join the ear rating board or competitions, we use Google Firebase to store:
Do not use your real name or personal details as your display name if you do not want them to be public. Offensive names are not allowed and may be removed.
With your permission (in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask first; elsewhere you can turn it off in the app menu), the app sends usage events such as which exercises are opened through Google Analytics for Firebase. These are linked to an app-instance identifier, not to your name. We do not use advertising identifiers, show ads, sell data or track you across other companies' apps.
Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive only confirmation that a product was bought; we never see your payment details.
Google LLC (Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, Analytics; Google Sign-In; Google Play) and Apple Inc. (Sign in with Apple; App Store). Data may be processed outside your country under those companies' safeguards. All network traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
Board data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account and all board data at any time from the ear rating screen in the app ("Delete account"), or by emailing theeargymapp@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my account" (we delete it within 30 days). On-device data is removed when you uninstall the app.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, by emailing theeargymapp@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and the sign-in features should not be used by children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) without a parent's consent.
To report an offensive name on a board, email us (an in-app report option is coming). We review reports and remove offending content within 24 hours.
We will update this page if the policy changes and change the date at the top.
