Privacy Policy — Rhythm Trainer: Sight Reading

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Rhythm Trainer: Sight Reading (“the app”) is made by Francisco Pampulha, who is responsible for the data described here. Questions or requests: franciscopampulha@gmail.com.

The short version

Data stored on your device

The app stores your practice history, scores, settings, saved rhythms and audio-latency calibration in the app’s own storage on your device. It is never uploaded by the app. If you use the export feature, you choose where the exported file goes. Deleting the app deletes this data, subject to your device’s own backups.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

What is collected, when statistics are on:

What is never collected: your name, email address or any account, your taps or recordings, the contents of your practice history, your advertising identifier, or precise location.

Why: to understand which parts of the app are used and where it can be improved. It is never used for advertising or sold.

Your choice:

Who processes it: Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited, as a service provider (processor) for the app. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under Google’s safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

How long: Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the retention period set in the app’s Analytics settings (at most 14 months), after which it is deleted. Aggregated reports do not identify anyone.

Purchases

Premium is bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store handles the payment, and the app never sees your payment details. The app only learns whether Premium is unlocked, and keeps that on your device.

Children

The app is a general-audience music training tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and it collects no data that identifies anyone. In Europe, statistics are only sent with consent.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the app has no account and analytics data is not linked to your identity, the quickest way to exercise these rights is in the app itself: turn off Usage statistics, which also resets your analytics identifier, or delete the app to remove all local data. You can also write to franciscopampulha@gmail.com, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
